Build Your Own NanoJet™ Turbulent Reactor System
Please review the following guide carefully before selecting your system components.**
Step 1: Borehole Raw Water Supply
Begin by selecting your water supply type. This is a critical first step, as the performance of the Venturi Injector and NanoJet™ Reactor depends directly on stable, adequate incoming pressure.
- Choose "A. Standard Fill" if your borehole supply delivers a constant pressure that never drops below 2.5 Bar.
- Choose "B. Boosted Fill" if your incoming pressure is inconsistent, fluctuates, or frequently falls below 2.5 Bar - as is common with most borehole feeds.
Important: Unreliable or low incoming pressure will significantly impair the efficiency of your system. To determine the precise operating pressure differential required for your setup, we recommend using our HYDROSTAT PRO tool. This will generate the minimum incoming pressure requirement tailored to your configuration.
If the HYDROSTAT PRO indicates that you need to increase or stabilise your pressure, proceed to the FILL BOOST CONTROL section to select the appropriate Centrifugal Pump. In most applications, we recommend a 1.1kW Centrifugal Pump for domestic tanks. Once installed, the incoming pressure can be easily and precisely regulated using the Gate Valve supplied with your NanoJet™ Assembly Kit.
Step 2: Timer Recirculation Filtration
Choose "B. Timer Recirculation Filtration" if your goal is to automate the treatment, mixing, and maintenance of your stored water. This configuration is ideal for applications requiring consistent water quality with minimal manual intervention.
This timer-based system operates much like a pool filtration setup—circulating the water body through a sediment filter at programmed intervals. However, the NanoJet™ system goes far beyond simple filtration. It actively treats the water by generating nano and microbubbles, while inducing powerful shear forces that alter the composition of the water and break down physical contaminants present in the groundwater.
How it works:
The NanoJet™ timer system is a standalone treatment loop, independent from your main incoming feed. In its simplest form, it consists of a pressure pump, a Venturi injector, and the NanoJet™ Turbulent Reactor assembly, which work together to continuously oxygenate, mix, and recirculate the water in your tank.
This constant oxygenation creates a "stripping" effect, oxidising contaminants and flushing out volatile compounds such as Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S), Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), and Trihalomethanes (THMs). These gases are released as the microbubbles rise and burst at the surface.
Pro Tip: We strongly recommend installing a tank vent to allow these gases to escape freely. Without proper venting, they may become trapped in a closed tank and re-dissolve or be reabsorbed into the water through surface contact.
Customising Your Filtration Loop
The basic Timer Recirculation Filtration setup typically includes an AFM (Advanced Filter Media) sediment filter in a FRP (Fibre-Reinforced Plastic) vessel fitted with an Auto Backwash Valve. This filtration unit is connected to the timed recirculation loop and automatically removes and flushes trapped sediment, sludge, and other contaminants at regular, programmed intervals.
Depending on your water quality goals, you can enhance the recirculation loop with additional treatment options, including:
- pH Control Filters – for pH adjustment
- Iron & Manganese Removal Filters – to eliminate metallic contaminants
- Carbon Block Filters – for VOC (Volatile borganic compond removal) and chlorine reduction
- Ozone Generators – for advanced oxidation and sterilisation
- Chemical Dosing Units – for flocculation, coagulation, or precise pH adjustment
- Water Softeners – to reduce carbonates and soften hard water
Note: In all cases, the pump should be connected to an Auto Pressure Controller, and the timer should be installed to manage a Solenoid Valve (refer to the system diagram for wiring and plumbing layout).
